Pereutz, Max
(b. 1914)
   British biochemist. Born in Vienna, he emigrated to England in 1936. After World War II he worked at the molecular biology laboratory at Cambridge University. He shared the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. In 1962 he became chairman of the British Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology.
